This past Saturday was the very first ACA Demo Day and because of it's great turnout and success, we've decided to do it annually. If you missed this one, make sure you hit it up next year!
The ACA Demo Day was a trial run for how the 2012 season and Nationals will be. We were testing out new games, our new spawn boxes, the new class system and functionality of the entire day. We had some great teams turn out like
Cloud 9, Triple 7, and Dead Cell. All excellent teams that should be followed throughout their ACA careers.
The first game we had the teams test out was a very standard, tried and true game called "The Push". Both teams must try to control a box that is placed in the center of the field, once they control the box they must push it to the other side of the field. This game will be modified slightly due to the observations we made, but other than that this game will prove to be an exceptional challenge for any team.
The second game we tested was a new game thought up by the ACA called "The Wall". There are two "walls" that are hanging from towers located on the field. These walls have destructible targets on them that both teams must attempt to shoot down. This game is ripe with team work and various strategic advantages. It will definitely be interesting to see what kind of strategies and tactics teams come up with to win this game. Check out
this video for a little sneak peek!
The 2012 season is shaping up to be something very interesting! We hope to see your team on the field! We will be posting more videos and photos from this day so stay tuned!
